New York (July 13, 2006)–The Progressive Retailers Organization (PRO) Group recently chose Furman Sound and Panamax to supply power conditioners and surge protectors for resale by the PRO Group member companies. The PRO Group is a consumer electronics industry buying group, whose members include Abt Electronics, Anderson’s, JB Audio Centre, Bjorn’s Audio/Video, Crutchfield Corporation, Electronics Expo, Flanner’s Home Entertainment, Huppin’s/OneCall, Ken Crane’s, ListenUp, MyerEmco, Ovation Audio/Video, 6th Avenue Electronics, Tweeter Home Entertainment Group, and Vann’s of Montana.
“Furman and Panamax are able to offer a complete line of equipment to address power management applications in consumer electronics,” said Dave Keller, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Furman. “And now, by creating one financial program for the two brands, we’re making it easy for PRO Group members to be able to offer their customers these two leading options in power conditioning and surge protection.”
While coordinating purchasing for its members, the PRO Group also facilitates idea exchanges on the best advertising, merchandising, and training practices. “Bringing Panamax and Furman together was intended to facilitate just this kind of deal,” said John Maloney, vice president of sales for Panamax. “Our combined product lines and technologies allow the member companies of the PRO Group to offer their customers the broadest range and highest quality power conditioning and surge protection available.”
