New York, NY (May 20, 2010)–Pro Sound Effects, based in New York City, has announced an agreement with BBC Information & Archives to distribute the BBC sound effects archive.
Pro Sound Effects has prepared the BBC’s sound effect CD collection 1-165, BBC’s Natural History archive and additional BBC sound content for distribution as royalty-free sound effects libraries on hard drive and via download.
The BBC Sound Effects Library is one of the most vast sound effects libraries in the world, and reportedly has the largest, most global and diverse selection of animal sound effects and historical sound effects currently available. Pro Sound Effects works with the BBC Information & Archives to make the BBC Sound Effects Library available both digitally and on sound effects hard drives with search engine software.
The BBC Historical Archives Sound Effects Library contains over 8,000 royalty-free effects capturing pivotal moments in sonic history and sound effects from all over the world. The BBC Nature Archives Sound Effects Library offers some of the most diverse nature and animal sound effects in the world, with 18,000 royalty-free sound effects recorded by BBC’s top sound engineers from the late 1960s on. Never before released, this library contains 70 categories of nature, ambience and animal sound effects–including 10,000 bird sounds–from around the globe.
