San Francisco, CA (December 1, 2006)–Pyramind: The Institute For Advanced Digital Audio Training, has inked a deal with M-Audio to sponsor a new multi workstation training lab at Pyramind’s Folsom Street facility in San Francisco. M-Audio has equipped the new classroom with audio interfaces for Pro Tools M-Powered, MIDI controllers, reference monitor speakers, microphones, and related M-Audio software and updates.
The agreement also sets up Pyramind as an educational dealer for M-Audio products so they can offer current students and graduates M-Audio music systems and individual products. For its part, M-Audio receives multi-year use of the training lab at the Pyramind facility for scheduled public M-World demo events, as well as product specialist and dealer sales training events.
“Our partnership with M-Audio will serve our students by offering hands on experience with excellent current music technology,” stated Greg Gordon, director and president of Pyramind. “We’re pleased to have M-Audio use our school as a training facility for their sales people, product specialists and dealers. We will be integrating the M-Audio equipment with our current curriculum and continue teaching tools from many top developers such as Digidesign, Apple, Propellerheads, Ableton, Native Instruments and Spectrasonics.”
“The arrangement with Pyramind offers a unique opportunity for two like-minded businesses to benefit from increased involvement together,” added M-Audio’s Steven Bartkoski. “In addition to the obvious benefits of a home base for M-World and M-Audio gear solutions for the teaching labs, the agreement provides important exposure of both M-Audio and Pyramind to the next generation of music creators.”
Pyramind’s existing second classroom will also feature more M-Audio hardware and software to support its music technology focused curriculum.
