Weed, CA (July 6, 2005)–The Girlfriend Experience (featuring former members of Ing, Counting Crows and Laundry) recently recorded songs for an upcoming release at RadioStar Studios, in both its B and C rooms. Animal Alpha finished final mixes for their upcoming album for Racing Junior in Studio A, with mixing by Rich Veltrop, Kale Holmes and Sylvia Massy Shivy. Jeff Left from The Girlfriend Experience and his gigantic Ludwig kit with 14″, 16″, 18″, 20″ toms and a 26″ kick drum.
Staple recorded their debut album at RadioStar for Nashville, TN-based Flicker Records, with engineering by Kale Holmes, assisted by Cecil Gregory. For the National Recorder label, Solid State Logic came up to Weed from San Jose to record songs for a debut album. And, identical twins Denny and Kenny Scott came to RadioStar to re-work material for an American release on The Orphanage label.
Bleed The Day recorded tracks for an upcoming release in Studio B, and Members of Nevercore came over from Tokyo to finish tracks for their debut album, with Rich Veltrop engineering and Cecil Gregory assisting. RadioStar’s new Crystal EQs, designed by Andrew Berliner
Meanwhile, RadioStar is excited about having acquired a pair of Crystal EQs pulled from one of the custom consoles in Andrew Berliner’s famed Crystal Sound on Vine Street in Hollywood. The original consoles were used in the recording of Stevie Wonder’s Innervisions as well as many other great pop records in the 60’s and 70’s.
