Los Angeles (September 27, 2006)–Last week, KROQ hosted its annual Inland Invasion, cramming 30,000 fans into the Hyundai Pavilion about one hour outside of Los Angeles. Photo by Matt FieldsSome of the big names on the bill included Avenged Sevenfold, Queens of the Stone Age, Alice in Chains, Papa Roach, 30 Seconds to Mars, Muse, Buckcherry, and of all things, Guns ‘n’ Roses, which played for the first time in 15 years to their hometown crowd of Los Angeles.
Rat Sound Systems based in Oxnard California, as for all the previous years of this festival provided the sound system for this one-stage, all-day event, supplying 48 L-Acoustic V-Dosc, 32 Rat subs, 9 dV-Dosc powered by Lab.gruppen LA48As and XTA processing.
At front of house were two Midas Heritage 3000s with a pair of Yamaha PM5Ds for monitors. While most of the bands used the Rat Sound-provided monitor rig, Guns ‘n’ Roses, Alice in Chains and Muse brought their own.
