Sydney Australia (April 14, 2011)–Røde Microphones has released three new MiCon connectors that offer additional compatibility with its line of compact wearable microphones that include the company’s lavalier, HS-1 headset and PinMic.
In addition, the MiCon-6 adaptor provides connectivity with selected AKG systems, including the PT40, PT60, PT61, PT80, PT81, PT400, PT2000 and PT4000. The MiCon-7 adaptor provides connectivity with selected Lectrosonics systems including the SM, UMa and LMa Series, as well as the UM450. The MiCon-8 adaptor provides connectivty for the Sony UWP series of wireless transmitters.
Released in late 2010, the original five MiCon adaptors allow for connectivity with 3.5mm stereo and XLR as well as selected wireless systems from manufacturers including Shure, Sennheiser and Audio-Technica.
The company has also announced an additional PinMic with longer pins to allow for use with heavier clothing and fabric. It features a detachable capsule head that mounts onto three pins on the microphone backplate, providing a discreet alternative that can be located almost anywhere on a wide range of clothing and fabrics.
