Las Vegas (December 4, 2009)-The new Fairlight Xynergi was recently used by Remote Recording to record and edit the 2009 Latin Grammys.
Karen Brinton, President of Remote Recording, and her audio recording team chose Fairlight’s Xynergi to record the 2009 Latin Grammys in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay. Peter Gary, Engineer in Charge, became interested in the Xynergi after he was introduced to the system by the exclusive northeast Fairlight dealer, Dale Pro Audio in NYC.
As Peter Gary explained, “The flexibility of the Xynergi system is really incredible. We were able to record 128 channels along with HD/SDI video for hours on end with absolutely no issues. While in record, the system was also able to backup the previous sound check (all 128 tracks plus video) onto an external hard drive. This negates any transfer time after the show, saving the clients money and having the media ready to post on any DAW system immediately.”
“Fairlight really took into account every aspect of what a professional system should be. The ability to route any input or output while in record without dropping audio or dropping out of record, robust file architecture, and Professional standard MADI I/O.”
Karen Brinton also added, “Foremost was the reliability of the Xynergi system. There is zero room for error while working on large music television broadcasts. With tight rehearsal schedules and short remix turnaround, the entire system needs to be flawless and the Fairlight Xynergi certainly was!”
