Marina del Rey, CA (March 13, 2008)--RipTide Music has announced its exclusive, worldwide representation of the soundtrack from the videogame Lair, which is by Academy Award-nominated composer John Debney. Rich Goldman, president, RipTide Music, and Chuck Doud, director of music for Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) jointly made the announcement.

RipTide Music, a leading source of licensed music for the motion picture, television, TV promo, videogame and advertising industries, will seek new licensing deals for the Lair soundtrack. The Lair soundtrack has been recognized throughout the videogame industry, and has secured multiple awards and award nominations. Debney earned a 2005 Oscar nomination for Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Score for his contribution to the international hit film, The Passion of the Christ.

Regarding the deal, Doud said, "Riptide Music is uniquely positioned to deliver our music to television, movie trailers and advertising in a way that will separate it from the pack. The videogame industry is producing some of the best, unique and most exciting music out there, and is a perfect companion to compliment other media."

Added Goldman, "We have long felt that there is a vibrant and hugely untapped market in many other areas of the entertainment and advertising industries for the powerful and exhilarating original music that is composed specifically for videogames. We are really excited that SCEA has given us the opportunity to seek new media outlets for the great Lair soundtrack."
