Based on its ADI-6432 64-channel MADI-AES/AES-MADI converter, RME’s ADI-6432R BNC reportedly offers broadcasters ease of integration and fail-safe operation through the utilization of industry-standard BNC connectors and dual redundant power supplies, while offering 64 channels of I/O capability.

The ADI-6432R BNC utilizes the AES-3id standard, which is an extension to the AES-3 standard (also known as AES/EBU). AES-3id carries the exact same AES data, but utilizes the broadcast-standard 75-ohm unbalanced RG-59 cable (1V pp) with BNC connectors. Each AES-3id connection carries two channels of digital audio up to nearly 1,000 feet. The MADI signals also utilize RG-59 and can send 64 channels of audio a distance of almost 1,000 feet.
