Maidenhead, UK (April 30, 2009)--TSL Professional Products has sold more than 100 of its professional audio monitoring products to the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC).
Broadcast technology is reportedly pouring into South Africa as the country prepares for digital terrestrial television this year, the FIFA Confederations Cup South Africa 2009 in June, and the FIFA World Cup next year.
Highlights of the sale include TSL's AMU2-8HD audio monitoring unit, a 2RU HD/SDI and Dolby D/E decoding audio monitor with re-clocked and down-converted standard definition and composite video outputs. With HD/SDI and Dolby D/E decoding audio monitoring capabilities, the AMU2-8HD is used for HD and Dolby monitoring for master control room, playout, pre- and post-production and OB trucks.
Also included in the sale were TSL's AMU1-BHD+ and AMU1-CHD+, 1RU audio monitors with dual HD/SDI inputs, AES and analog audio inputs and 106- and 26-segment bar graph displays, respectively. The AMU1-CHD+ also includes an internal loudspeaker system. Both units are enclosed in a 340 mm (13.4 in) chassis for OB or desk mounting.
