Maidenhead, UK (May 4, 2009)--TSL Professional Products has announced the sale of more than 100 units from its range of professional audio monitoring products for use by the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC).
Broadcast technology is reportedly pouring into South Africa as the country prepares for the advent of digital terrestrial television this year, the FIFA Confederations Cup South Africa 2009 in June, and the FIFA World Cup next year.
Highlights of the sale include TSL's best-selling AMU2-8HD audio monitoring unit, a 2RU HD/SDI and Dolby D/E decoding audio monitor with re-clocked and down-converted standard definition and composite video outputs. With leading HD/SDI and Dolby D/E decoding audio monitoring capabilities, the AMU2-8HD is ideal for critical HD and Dolby monitoring for master control room, playout, pre- and post-production and OB trucks.
Also included in the sale were TSL's AMU1-BHD+ and AMU1-CHD+, 1RU audio monitors with dual HD/SDI inputs, AES and analogue audio inputs and 106- and 26-segment bar graph displays respectively. The AMU1-CHD+ also includes a robust internal loudspeaker system. Both units are enclosed in a compact 340 mm (13.4 in) chassis ideal for OB or desk mounting.
