Alachua, FL (August 24, 2005)--A new array of innovative DSP solutions is now available from Sabine. The Navigator System Processors are multi-input/output controllers designed for fast and easy control. Used in audio production, the Navigators provide a full complement of loudspeaker management tools, with functions logically arranged for fast show control. Also at home in commercial installations, Navigators provide full matrix mixing and distributed audio functions, with multiple control and security options.

The Navigator's 24-bit digital converters and the 32-bit (40-bit extended) floating point processors eliminate the noise and distortion of conventional 24-bit fixed-point devices. Sabine is known for its digital filtering algorithms which continue to be the industry standard in automatic feedback control as part of the FBX Feedback Exterminators. This filtering is combined with the sophisticated gain management of Sabine's Q-Series products and incorporated into the Navigators.

"We are very proud of the way the Navigators sound," said sales and marketing director Rob Rothschild. "Our engineers spent a lot of time developing algorithms for the digital signal processing. We can now provide a very high-end sound for a very reasonable price."

The Navigators come in three models: the NAV8800 (8 in, 8 out), the NAV4800 (4 in, 8 out) and the NAV3600 (3 in, 6 out). Each of the three models is also offered with an Ethernet option to allow for controlling Navigators through third party serial and Ethernet-based touch screens. This option will allow you to control your Navigator from anywhere in the world. In addition, the Navigator can be controlled through the front panel, or the provided Navigator Remote software.

Each model includes full-function crossovers with plenty of presets to get any user started with the most common configurations. Sabine's patented FBX Feedback Exterminator is included as well as multiple password-based security levels. All DSP functions run concurrently--full DSP power is always there. As with all Sabine products, keeping the Navigators current is easy using the Upgrade Wizard software through Sabine's website www.sabine.com.

"The Navigator is the product our customers have been asking for," said Rothschild. "They want a flexible system, with easy setup, for the right price.

The NAV3600 3x6 has a list price of $1,099.95; the NAV4800 4x8 lists for $2,149.95; and the NAV8800 8x8 lists for $2,829.95. Ethernet-equipped versions add only another $200 to the list price of each unit.
