Hauppauge, NY (August 17, 2006)–After 11 years in its Syosset, NY location, Samson Technologies has relocated to Hauppauge, New York. Samson is now located at 45 Gilpin Avenue, with more than 125,000 square feet of space.
“Due to our growth over the past several years, we needed to expand our distribution capabilities along with almost every other facet of our business,” said Samson Technologies president Scott Goodman. “We were pleased to find a facility to consolidate our two Long Island distribution centers, streamline logistics and expand our corporate headquarters.”
Samson now has more than three times the square footage of its Syosset headquarters, a growing line of products, an international customer base and a streamlined supply chain, and is very well positioned to continue its growth in the audio and musical instrument markets.
“Driving efficiency in the supply chain and distribution aspects of our business was one key to our growth,” said Goodman. “This can’t be overstated. If we didn’t have control over supply chain issues in servicing our international markets, our space requirements would have been more than three times what we leased in Hauppauge.”
While relocating presents numerous challenges to keep business moving forward, Samson vice president of operations, Jack Knight, commented, “Our move was virtually unknown to our customers. There was no measurable interruption of our business, which is a testament to the efficiency and dedication of our associates.”
And Ken Fuente, vice president of sales, noted, “Certainly we planned to transition to a new space without a major interruption in business, but we also recorded our most successful May on record, in the midst of relocating. That was simply beyond our expectations.”
In a final note on the move and future growth, Goodman added, “We are proud of every associate at Samson and know that the best is yet to come. We believe the benefits of this expansion, in terms of product distribution, customer service, value and quality will be noticed by our dealers and customers almost immediately.”
