New York (August 9, 2007)–Sennheiser USA and Australian Monitor have agreed to end their three-year distribution agreement in North America for Australian Monitor products. The announcement comes as Australian Monitor seeks to add more product categories in the U.S. and Latin American markets.
“We have enjoyed working with Australian Monitor and wish them continued success,” said David McNutt, industry team leader for installed sound at Sennheiser. “They have a huge product line that will be more widely served by a different distribution strategy and we support them in this new direction.”
Beginning September 1, distribution in the United States will be continued by Starin Marketing, Inc., an audio, video and multimedia distributor located in Chesterton, Indiana. Chris Smith, director of international sales for the brand is also interviewing to replace distribution in Latin America but no agreement is yet in place.
“Sennheiser has taken Australian Monitor to a solid level in the Americas and we have had a great working relationship,” said Smith. “As we look to grow our penetration with more and more products, we agreed as partners to put this new strategy in place.”
