The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus headlines the 10th Annual Sennheiser NAMM Dealer Appreciation Party at the House of Blues, Friday, January 18th in Anaheim.Old Lyme, CT (January 11, 2008)–At the upcoming NAMM Show (January 17-20 at the Anaheim Convention Center), the Sennheiser Dealer Appreciation Party will feature pop-punk/screamo band the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, plus young soul/R&B singer Ryan Shaw. This 10th annual event is being held January 18 at the House of Blues-Anaheim, located a short walk from the Convention Center in the Downtown Disney District of Disneyland.
One of the hits of last summer’s Warped Tour, the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus have been touring behind the release of their debut album Don’t You Fake It, which was certified gold at the end of 2007. The band and their engineer, Casey MacGregor, recently signed up to outfit the entire stage with 900 Series evolution microphones, including e 935 evolution wireless microphones for the five band members, who all sing. “They sound spectacular, and the guys really love the wireless,” MacGregor reports. “I’m very happy with the product.”
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and their engineer can’t wait to get back to Anaheim. “I took the two guitar players, the drummer and the drum tech to NAMM last year for the first time,” said MacGregor. “We didn’t know what to expect, but we had a really good time there. We met a lot of people and it was a lot of fun. We’re looking forward to the show and to a great party with Sennheiser.”
Also on the bill at Sennheiser’s 10th Annual Dealer Appreciation Party will be Ryan Shaw, a 26-year-old singer/songwriter from Decatur, GA who is out to revive the passion and soul of the golden age of rhythm and blues. Shaw’s debut album, This Is Ryan Shaw, presents the singer’s original tunes alongside classics from the likes of legends Wilson Pickett, Jackie Wilson and Bobby Womack. Shaw’s powerfully expressive voice, has been compared to Otis Redding.
Those wishing to attend this event should visit the Sennheiser Booth (6579) and ask a sales rep for an invitation. The party starts at 7:00 p.m. and will go until 11:00 p.m. at the House of Blues, 1530 South Disneyland Drive, and will include complimentary food, cocktails, and entertainment. From the convention center, it’s a 10-minute walk, a $5 cab ride, or a $3 Disney shuttle ride round trip (purchase tickets in advance via your hotel).
