Old Lyme, CT (January 13, 2003)–Sennheiser Electronic Corporation, the U.S. distributor for Turbosound Ltd., recently announced an exclusive sales agreement for the Turbosound TXD Series with Guitar Center and Musician’s Friend. Introduced in early 2003, the TXD Series was designed to meet the rigors of the club, restaurant, DJ and live performance venues.
The TXD Series is comprised of eight units with the TXD-12M, two-way floor monitor, the ultra-compact TXD-081 passive eight-inch two-way and the impressive TXD-252 (a 2 x 15″ trapezoidal combo) headlining the feature-packed series. All units feature Turbosound’s proprietary two-stage, high-frequency Thermal Overload Protection System (TOPS), which ensures high frequency driver reliability, in addition to high-grade crossover components, and are constructed of robust birch plywood, fitted with flush handles, pole mount socket, rubber feet and two Speakon NL4MP connectors.
Noted Jeff Alexander, Sennheiser’s director of distributed brands, “The TXD Series is destined to become one of Turbosound’s fastest selling products lines. Having Guitar Center and Musician’s Friend add the TXD Series to their impressive product roster gives the Turbosound name incredible sales visibility and support. We, at Sennheiser, are thrilled to be a part of both GC’s and Musician’s Friend forward thinking marketing and sales programs.”
Sennheiser Electronic Corporation distributes all of Turbosound’s products into the U.S. market, encompassing the QLight Series–including the recently introduced multi-purpose TQ-300 Series–as well as the Flashlight and Floodlight systems. In 2004 activity will also be focused on Turbosound’s forthcoming series of specialist compact systems for the install market.
