Shure Attends World Series

St. Louis, MO (November 5, 2004)--Millions watched in amazement last week as the Boston Red Sox broke their 86-year drought and won the World Series for the first time since 1918. Those who tuned into Game three of the Sox’s four-game trouncing of the St. Louis Cardinals may well have caught country music star Martina McBride singing the National Anthem for the event as well. Helping McBride’s voice fill St. Louis’ Busch Stadium was a hardwired Shure SM58.

McBride, a Shure endorser, lent a bright moment to an otherwise unpleasant evening for hometown Cardinals fans, who watched helplessly as Red Sox pitcher Pedro Martinez presided over seven scoreless innings and a 4-1 BoSox victory.
