SLS Debuts LSB9315 Subwoofer

Springfield, MO (June 27, 2005)--SLS Loudspeakers' new LSB9315 is a large-format subwoofer designed for use with the company's RLA/1 and RLA/1.5 line-array systems. The LSB9315 incorporates three 15-inch woofers as the drive components that provide a linear frequency response of 35 to 200 Hz. The power handling capabilities of 1,800 watts Rms (7,200w peak) or three times 600 watts Rms (2,400w peak) deliver a maximum sound pressure level of 137 dB calculated at one meter.

The LSB9315 incorporates three 15-inch woofers as the drive components that provide a linear frequency response of 35 to 200 Hz. The power handling capabilities of 1,800 watts Rms (7,200w peak) or three times 600 watts Rms (2,400w peak) deliver a maximum sound pressure level of 137 dB calculated at one meter.

The system has a nominal impedance of 8 ohms per speaker with a recommended crossover of a 4th order Lnk/Ril high pass at 30 Hz and 4th order Lnk/Ril low pass at 80 Hz. The enclosure is made from 19-ply Baltic Birch plywood with a cabinet dimension of 16.187 inches high in front and 14.031 inches high in the rear, 29 inches deep and 50 inches wide without rigging or 54.4 inches wide with rigging or 52.5 inches wide for fixed installation. The system weighs in at 240 pounds.
