Brooklyn, NY (June 22, 2004)--SLS International's RLA/2 Ribbon Line Array Speaker System has been selected by the BRIC/Brooklyn Information & Culture, as the official speaker system of its Celebrate Brooklyn summer outdoor performing arts festivals.

Celebrate Brooklyn is one of New York City's longest-running, free summer outdoor performing arts festivals. Founded in 1979, it presents cultural, educational, and informational programs that reflect Brooklyn's diverse mix of emerging, cutting-edge and world-renowned artists, as well as an amazing outdoor cinema series for over 200,000 people at the Prospect Park Bandshell. This summer institution has earned a reputation for excellence and attracts local and international artists.

"I have been producing Celebrate Brooklyn for over 10 years and it was evident to me when we first tested the SLS loudspeakers at our amphitheater that you don't need to be an audiophile to understand the enormous leap in sound quality this new system provides," said Jack Walsh, producer of The Celebrate Brooklyn Festival. "Our site has presented sound challenges in the past, all of which are solved by the SLS system, giving our audiences and musician a clear natural sound far beyond anything we have ever had before."

The Celebrate Brooklyn concert and film series kicked off on June 16, 2004 with an opening gala and concert honoring Clive Davis, Chairman & CEO of BMG North America who was presented with a pair of SLS's S8R Near Field Reference monitor speakers for his personal use. The event was followed by a live performance by Los Lobos who used the new SLS, RLA/2 speaker system.

Other performers at the summer-long festival include Burning Spear, The Brooklyn Philharmonic, Clem Snide, They Might Be Giants and Van Hunt, to name a few.
