Santa Barbara, CA (January 28, 2010)--Australia-based Sound and Music, parent company of the SM Pro Audio and Violet Audio brands of music and audio equipment for the recording, live and installed sound markets, has opened a new U.S. office.
The move is designed to provide North American retailers with improved order fulfillment, direct communication with sales and support personnel, and access to training programs.
Founded by Danny Olesh and John Fuller, longtime distributors of MI products in Australia, SM Pro Audio features "clever audio solutions" developed to solve problems with DAWs, interfaces and tangles of cables. Ten years and 50+ SKUs later, the line runs from standalone VSTi players to studio controllers to multifunction mixer/mic preamp/DIs.
The Violet Audio product catalog includes studio surround-sound processors and ethernet-linked multichannel audio networks designed for fixed installations, such as schools, concert halls and houses of worship.
U.S. sales, marketing and operations for both brands will be handled by Santa Barbara, CA-based MV Pro Audio.
