Northridge, CA (May 16, 2006)–SmartSound Software, Inc., the leading provider of music scoring technology for film and video professionals, announced that its new SmartSound Sonicfire Pro 4 music scoring software received four major awards at the NAB2006 conference. The awards included an NAB Award for Innovation in Media (AIM), as one of the five companies receiving the highest number of attendee votes in the Content Management category.
Sonicfire Pro 4 was the only audio product to win a 2006 AIM, which went to five products each in the categories of Content Creation, Content Management and Content Delivery. Along with the 2006 AIM, SmartSound Software has received the following honors from leading media outlets: Videography Magazine’s Vidy Award; Television Broadcast Magazine’s Top Innovation Award and The 4Ever Group’s Product Innovation Award.
“We’re thrilled that industry professionals and the media recognize that Sonicfire Pro 4 stands alone in delivering innovative music scoring solutions for film and video,” said Brian Dickman, vice-president of marketing at SmartSound Software, Inc. “These awards are a tribute to the years of hard work that SmartSound’s employees put into developing Sonicfire Pro 4, and are validation for our belief in always searching for new ways to improve the process of scoring film and video productions.”
The key new innovation in Sonicfire Pro 4 is Mood Mapping, which gives users control over the mix and feel of their music scores. Through a single Mood Map track, users can adjust the individual instrument layers in their score to match the changing mood of their productions. In addition, Sonicfire Pro presents users with multiple arrangements of music from SmartSound’s library at any length needed to score their production.
