Despite its “LE” moniker, this music production software will satisfy the demands of a variety of users. Features include 64 tracks of audio, 256 MIDI tracks, 8 tracks of simultaneous recording, 24-bit/192 kHz audio support, 14 studio quality real-time audio effects and 6 MIDI effects.
Other Sonar LE features include audio loop construction tools such as ACID loop support; dynamic console view; multi-port graphical drum grid editor; multitrack piano roll view; staff notation; support for ReWire 2.0, DirectX/DXi and VST/VSTi instruments and effects; MIDI clock and MTC slave; Cyclone DXi groove sampler; and Audio Simulation’s Dreamstation DXi soft synth.
