Las Vegas, NV (April 11, 2007)–Sony Creative Software (formerly Sony Media Software) will be unveiling Sound Forge 9 at NAB 2007, the exhibition portion of which opens on Monday, April 16. The software is now the cornerstone application in the new Sound Forge 9 professional digital audio production suite, which includes CD Architect 5, Noise Reduction 2, and the Mastering Effects Bundle powered by iZotope.
The Sound Forge 9 suite includes many new features such as multichannel file recording, editing and processing, phase scope metering and Dolby Digital AC-3 export. Additionally, Sound Forge 9 and CD Architect 5 software are now compatible with the new Microsoft Windows Vista operating system.
Sony is also expected to make two announcements about its Vegas nonlinear editing application, including one in conjunction with AMD.
Lastly, Sony Creative Software will kick off NAB with an open house event co-produced with AMD on Monday, April 16 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in room N250 of the Las Vegas Convention Center. This event will offer attending press the opportunity to hear from keynote speakers such as Academy Award nominee producer/director/writer/actor Steve Oedekerk; Beth Marchant, editor-in-chief of Studio Monthly; Douglas Spotted Eagle of VASST; Dave Hill, VP technology of Sony Creative Software; and more.
