New York City (May 24, 2005)–38 Greene Studios in Manhattan has announced the arrival of Corey Bauman to the 38 Greene sound design/mix team. Bauman, previously of McHale Barone in New York, has joined the already exceptional engineering lineup, making him the third piece to the 38 Greene puzzle.
Already in-place are fellow engineers and friends Casey Chester and Adam Charity. “I think Corey’s addition makes 38 Greene’s staff the youngest and most talented in New York City”, says 38 Greene partner, Dan Price. Like Chester and Charity, Bauman will handle mix, sound design, and original music for advertising projects, all from Studio A at 38 Greene, equipped with the latest technology including a Pro Tools HD setup.
38 Greene, located in New York’s historic SoHo District, has prided itself in hiring only the best staff. Co-owner Jim Price says, “Now, with the addition of Corey, we’re clearly among the strongest in the business.”
Before joining 38 Greene, Bauman spent the past four and a half years at McHale Barone after graduating from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. At Berklee, he studied music production and engineering. Over the years he has worked on numerous campaigns including Pizza Hut, Pepsi, McDonalds, Cingular and Frontier Airlines, among many others.
Bauman’s talent and keen ear led him to 38 Greene, where he says, “It’s great to be a part of such a young and up-and-coming studio that is expanding by the minute. I wanted to be a part of that. Here I’m able to do my own thing and be as creative as I want to be. You can’t find this amount of freedom anywhere – and not only do I have the freedom, but I have the support. It’s a positive place to be at, and I’m happy for that.”
