New York City (May 16, 2006)–Sound Lounge has completed a major expansion, adding a second location, situated on Hudson Street in New York’s Soho district. Sound Lounge Hudson features two state-of-the-art 5.1 mixing suites and will also serve as the home for the company’s new music and sound design division.
The company’s aim is to bring the Sound Lounge “vibe” and its uncompromising commitment to quality to an area of New York that has emerged as a hotbed for advertising, according to Tom Jucarone, the company’s president. Jucarone noted that a number of ad agencies, production companies, editorial houses and other providers of creative services for advertising have recently set up shop in Soho, creating demand for local access to top tier audio post production services.
“We have developed a very large clientele in the Soho area and we want to make it as convenient as possible for them to work with us,” Jucarone said. “The new studio was built to the same precise standards as our main studio-it features the same industry leading technology-and we have staffed it with a great team of mixers and support personnel. We have also done our best to create a fun, comfortable, creative working environment-a place where people will enjoy doing great work.”
Sound Lounge Hudson will offer a full spectrum of audio services, including mixing for television (SD & HD), full radio production and voice casting. Through the company’s new music and sound design division, it will also offer original music production and sound design services. Along with the two 5.1 mixing suites, the studio’s physical resources include a music recording studio, a live room, a writer’s studio, a casting room and a client lounge.
The mixing staff at Sound Lounge Hudson will include Scott Persson, who joins Sound Lounge from McHale Barone, the award-winning radio production company, and Peter Buccellato, who has more than 20 years of experience as a mixer including stints at The Mix Place, Mixed Nuts and Lower East Side.
