Sound on Sound Handles Broadway Rock and Hip-Hop Sessions

New York, NY (August 12, 2005)--Studio A was Sound On Sound’s busiest room last month with a variety of mixing and tracking projects. The SSL 9072 J-equipped Studio A hosted producer Hugh Fordin and engineer Cynthia Daniels who were in mixing the Broadway show Forever Plaid for DRG Records. Also in A, Judy Collins recorded vocals with producer Steve Buckingham and engineer Alan Silverman for Dolly Parton Enterprises, and producer/engineer David Bendeth mixed an upcoming release for Blind Side.

The SSL 9072 J-equipped Studio A hosted producer Hugh Fordin and engineer Cynthia Daniels who were in mixing the Broadway show Forever Plaid for DRG Records. Also in A, Judy Collins recorded vocals with producer Steve Buckingham and engineer Alan Silverman for Dolly Parton Enterprises, and producer/engineer David Bendeth mixed an upcoming release for Blind Side.

Other sessions in Studio A included Eric Reed, tracking with Bruce Barth and Katsu; Sizzla (Island Def Jam) tracking with Clark Kent and Bojan Dugic; Barbara Cook mixing with Fordin and Daniels; Desmond Child tracking with engineer Victor Mancusi; and Sony artist Omarion tracking and mixing with Cory Bold and Pat Viala.

In Sound on Sound’s Studio B, equipped with another SSL 9072 J console, Remy Martin mixed tracks with producer Sean C and engineer Pat Viala; Lil Kim was in mixing with various producers and engineer Manny Marroquin; and Moby was in mixing with Brian Sperber. Other sessions in B included Labba (Jive) mixing with DJ Nasty and Viala; Chamillionaire mixing with Hardly Davidson and Brian Stanley; Dr. John recording vocals and mixing with Ray Bardani; and BMG mixing a track for the Elvis Presley History Mix, with Ernest Jorgenson and Bardani.

In Studio C, which features a Sony Oxford console, Elephant Man recorded vocals with producer Lil' Jon and engineer David Hyman, Twista recorded vocals with Scott Storch and Bojan Dugic, and Kanye West recorded vocals with engineer Arnold Mischkulnig.

Finally in the Pro Tools HD4 Studio D environment, Koch Entertainment mixed the Tupac Poetry & Music tribute with various producers and engineer Bojan Dugic, and Thwak!Music tracked and mixed a commercial spot for V8 Juice with producer Tony Verderosa and engineer Christian Wicht.
