Norway (February 12, 2007)–A Soundcraft Vi6 digital live mixing desk was used for monitors for a recent tour by Vamp, one of Norway’s most popular bands. The act culminated its national tour playing onstage with the Norwegian Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra at the Oslo Spektrum Arena, performing the band’s unusual blend of Norwegian folk, Celtic music and rock to a sell-out crowd of 8,000.

The Vi6 performed perfectly on each of the 14 dates and I thought that the sound quality was amazing.”
It’s not the only Vi6 in the Northern country; Vi6s are already in use with the National Theatre and also by Oslo-based PA company Christiania Lyd. With a customer base that encompasses live music and corporate events, Christiania Lyd has an inventory of JBL VRX PA enclosures powered by Crown I-Tech amplifiers, and the Vi6 is its first digital desk. According to Andersen, who also works for Norway’s Soundcraft distributor, LydRommet AS, the Vi6 is the perfect match for the customer. “It is ideal for a regional PA company like Christiania Lyd that places an emphasis on quality equipment.”
