Las Vegas, NV (February 8, 2007)–Solid State Logic will offer a hands-on demonstration of its C100 Digital Broadcast Console, February 13-14 in the Mirage Hotel’s Tower Suite.
The two-day C100 presentation precedes the National Basketball Association’s All-Star Weekend. The 2007 NBA All-Star Game will be held at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
Michael Giacalone, Comcast SportsNet’s lead mixer, will co-host the hands-on demonstration. Giacalone has mixed over 500 Philadelphia 76ers, Phillies and Flyers games in 5.1 on the SSL C100 installed at the Wachovia Center.
C100 installations include NBA Entertainment, Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia (two C100s), the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (two C100 HD remote trucks), the New England Sports Network (two C100s), National Mobile Television (C100 HD remote truck for NESN), the Golf Channel and Comcast SportsNet New York.
“The C100 is one of the most dynamic 5.1 mixing consoles for television on the market today,” Zaretsky noted. “This event was created to give the mixers a chance to see the C100 in person. The guys who work on trucks and live TV shows don’t often get to go to the NAB Convention because they are too busy. This event is a chance to bring the trade show to them at an event like the NBA All-Star Game.”
Sessions will take place throughout the day on February 13 and 14 in the Tower Suite. Food and beverages will be served.
Attendees are asked to contact Steve Zaretsky, SSL vice president broadcast sales, to confirm appointments at 203-253-1364 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
