Los Angeles, CA (June 23, 2005)–SSL is pleased to announce that Phil Wagner has been promoted to president of SSL, Inc. Wagner joined SSL in 1992 as vice president Western operations, and was then promoted to senior vice president seven years ago.
As president of SSL, Inc., Wagner will be responsible for overall sales and customer relations for the U.S., Canada and Mexico. He has sold over 150 consoles in music, broadcast, post and film during his tenure at SSL.
“We are very proud of the relationship we have with our customers and take their business very seriously,” stated Wagner. “SSL users are committed to our brand and we strive to exceed their expectations everyday. In my new role as President, I plan to continue this great tradition. I am looking forward to many exciting years of trend setting technical innovation with a company that has defined the high end of the industry.”
Said Piers Plaskitt, the newly appointed group commercial director for SSL, the parent company of SSL, Inc., “We are thoroughly delighted to have Phil Wagner accept the position of president of SSL, Inc. Phil is a knowledgeable, hard working and highly respected professional who will further build on the excellent reputation of all Solid State Logic products and the ever expanding creative community of SSL users.”
Rick Plushner, former president, is leaving the company. Plushner took over the position in 1997 when Piers Plaskitt, former president and SSL employee for 14 years, left the company. It was announced earlier this week that Plaskitt was returning to the company as group commercial director for SSL, along with another SSL veteran, Antony David, as managing director.
