Erik Kosnar (Left) and Sean BowmanDeerfield Beach, FL (March 30, 2010)–The Stanton Group—the organization behind KRK Systems, Cerwin Vega and Stanton DJ—has created two Regional Sales Management positions, filled by Sean Bowman and Erik Kosnar.
Dave Hetrick, director of Worldwide Sales, for the Stanton Group explains, “These regional Sales Manager positions are instrumental in building value by proactively supporting our reseller partners.”
In particular, Sean Bowman (Eastern Region) and Erik Kosnar (Western Region) will be charged with the task of nurturing independent dealer distribution, managing sales and merchandising programs with national chain retailers, implementing and developing training programs, and coordinating product shows.
The positions will focus on creative programs designed specifically for independent dealers; according to Hetrick, brick and mortar dealers “are the backbone of our industry and are vital to us demonstrating our products to consumers. Moreover, by creating a limited distribution network of dealers, the Stanton Group will be able to provide a strong presence for our brands and a profitable business proposition for our dealers.”
Hetrick sings the praises of both the new hire and promotion:
“Erik Kosnar, the new Western Region Sales Manager, was formerly the U.S. Product Manager for KRK. Erik has an extensive background in the MI industry and a passion for music. When not playing, Erik ‘performs’ on the other side of the console, serving as a mastering engineer. He’s worked with many of the biggest names in the industry. Prior to Stanton, Erik was in direct sales at Guitar Center for three years before being promoted to a Corporate Trainer position for another five years. Guitar Center recognized him as Product Specialist of the Year in 2006. He is also considered an expert in studio and acoustic room design.”
Hetrick shows tantamount enthusiasm for the new hire for the Eastern Region. “Sean Bowman, now the Eastern Region Sales Manager, has comparable duties to Erik in the U.S. east of the Mississippi. Previously Regional Manager at Auralex Acoustics, Inc., Sean will be taking a similar leadership role in sales for all three companies. Sean has an extensive educational and professional background in the MI industry, including a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Maryland, and a Master of Science in Music Technology from Indiana University, where he was recognized as a Chancellor’s Scholar. And he was a member of the adjunct faculty at IUPUI (Indiana University/Purdue University), where he taught online and traditional undergraduate music courses.”
