Hamburg, Germany (April 8, 2004)--Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH has announced the latest version of its virtual instrument rack--V-Stack. With up to 16 simultaneous virtual instruments, 8 send effects, 4 bands of EQ, and 32-bit internal processing, V-stack is a natural choice for live performance or a VST System Link network within a studio.

V-stack gives you quick access to master keyboard functions like Transpose, Layer and Splitting of VSTi's, up to 5 insert effects, and up to 4 subgroups making it a great live performance tool. In the studio, V-Stack can be used with many common controllers and can receive ReWire audio channels from a compatible application to for effects and EQ processing.

"V-Stack is an amazingly simple and powerful tool," said Paul Mirkovich, currently the musical director and keyboardist on Cher's Farewell Tour. "All the virtual instruments and samplers are now so easy to use in a live performance. I have used V-Stack on about 200 live shows with Cher. The Grand, D'Cota, HALion, and a whole slew of other VSTi's were instantly available to me. It really blows open the door of what is possible!"

V-Stack is available for download purchase at www.steinberg.net for $59.99 MSRP.
