Dallas, TX (September 16, 2004)--Stephen Arnold Music has written original theme music for the PBS TV series Religion and Ethics Newsweekly. The announcement was made by company founder/composer Stephen Arnold.

In conjunction with the upcoming 8th season launch of that series, airing on over 250 PBS stations, Stephen Arnold Music composed a new "world flavor" theme, featuring various styles of music while emphasizing percussion and ethereal vocal texturing. The music was composed by Arnold and mixed by head engineer Paul West.

Regarding the new music, Washington, D.C.-based Gail Fendley, broadcast producer, Religion and Ethics Newsweekly, said, "Stephen Arnold Music perfectly captured the essence of our niche media program. The new music is a complimentary fit with our show, and helps depict sonically what the show's all about, and what our audiences have come to expect."

Produced by WNET/New York out of studios in Washington, D.C., Religion and Ethics Newsweekly, hosted by veteran journalist Bob Abernethy, is the only national TV newsmagazine program devoted entirely to the news of religion and spirituality, and major ethical issues. The program explores the top moral questions facing the country and profiles the most interesting people and groups in the world of religion and ethics. It is distributed to PBS stations nationwide.
