West Columbia, SC (November 15, 2005)–When the proprietors of Strawberry Skys Recording Studios and Modern Music Studios of Columbia, SC sat down to talk about the future of the audio recording business, they had one thing in mind. Making it better. The end result was the recent decision to combine their efforts into one ultimate recording facility. Strawberry Skys and Modern Music Studios have now officially joined forces to create a major recording center in the Southeast.
Strawberry Skys has served the recording industry in South Carolina for over 20 years. Gary Bolton started Strawberry Skys in 1986 when he merged his up-start Higher Skys studio with the larger more established Strawberry Jam Studio. The result was Strawberry Skys, Columbia’s first 24 track, fully automated, and computer assisted facility.
Six years ago Pat Casey began his climb into the local music scene opening Modern Music Studios, Columbia’s first all-digital recording studio. According to Modern Music, the facility quickly became known as the place to go for affordable quality in Columbia.
The music scene and national music climate has changed. The new wave of cheaper but less skilled recording at bargain basement prices, Bolton and Casey saw that serious artists were looking for answers. How can they get their music out the way it was intended to be heard? Strawberry Skys and Modern Music Studios are answering the call. By joining their collective skills and equipment they can better serve artists who want and demand the best for their music.
The studio will still hold the name Strawberry Skys and will see many changes, upgrades, and renovations that are designed to give their clients the best studio experience possible. Stay tuned for more information on the new partnership.
