Woodland Hills, CA (April 23, 2010)–Songs To Your Eyes (STYE) music library licensed music from the company’s Underground Music catalog to the DVD trailer promoting Avatar.
Composer Amotz Plessner, who has scored many films and animated series, wrote the lush orchestral composition. According to STYE founder, Opher Yisraeli, “We are proud to offer the music of our Underground Music Library, as it represents an industry leader in the area of high-end, epic orchestral and hybrid orchestral music.”
STYE has also licensed nine cues and provided music consultation services to the indie film, Ultrasuede: In Search Of Halston, by director Whitney Sudler-Smith; the film will be part of this year’s Tribeca Film Festival. Members of the Songs To Your Eyes team sat with Sudler-Smith, as well as with the film’s editor and producers, in the selection of various, retro-sounding cues to complement the time period portrayed in the movie of Halsten’s life. “We are excited to be part of this project, which will surely hit a positive note within the fashion world,” said Yisraeli.
In additional company news, Songs To Your Eyes has also signed a new sub-publishing and strategic partnership deal with YB Music of Brazil, thus tapping into the growing need for high quality library music in that country.
