Hollywood, CA (December 8, 2006)–Canadian rockers Sum 41 recently settled in at Ocean Way Recording Studios in Los Angeles to record tracks for their upcoming 2007 Island Records album, as yet untitled. Photo by David Goggin.The band used the spacious Studio B, known for its live acoustics and often chosen for its powerful drum sound. The console in Studio B is an Ocean Way custom-built API.
Sessions were produced by the band’s lead singer, Dercyk Whibley. While Sum 41 sessions were under way in Studio B, Whibley’s wife, Avril Lavigne, was mixing tracks for her upcoming album in Studio D, which is equipped with a Neve 88R console.
