Surround Live Makes Its West Coast Debut

One of last year’s most popular symposiums, Surround Live, made its West Coast debut Wednesday, exploring the emerging field of live surround sound mixing. Bringing together working professionals from performance audio, Broadway theater, broadcast, environmental audio, fine arts and other industry segments, the event provided the hundreds in attendance with the opportunity to learn new techniques and theories.

One of last year’s most popular symposiums, Surround Live, made its West Coast debut Wednesday, exploring the emerging field of live surround sound mixing. Bringing together working professionals from performance audio, Broadway theater, broadcast, environmental audio, fine arts and other industry segments, the event provided the hundreds in attendance with the opportunity to learn new techniques and theories. Sound was mixed on a DiGiCo D5 console and presented to the audience through a sizable surround PA supplied for the event by Meyer Sound Labs.
