Fort Wayne, IN (April 23, 2009)-Sweetwater has introduced an updated lineup of its Creation Station audio computers. Assembled onsite at Sweetwater, Creation Station PCs are optimized for audio production and built to provide “whisper-quiet” operation in critical studio environments.

The latest family of Creation Stations includes two tower-style CPUs and two rackmountable computers. Designed to suit everyone from home-studio hobbyists to performing musicians to professionals in commercial studio settings, these machines are constructed from top-grade components. All four models sport powerful processors, ample storage options and multiple connection points for interfaces and other peripherals.

Housed in a rackmountable chassis, the flagship Rack XT boasts 6 GB of RAM, a 2.66 GHz Core i7 processor, a 500 GB hard drive, and a 1 TB audio/library drive. Like the other models in the Creation Station family, the Rack XT includes a dual-output VGA/DVI port and a multimedia card reader. Eleven USB ports and two FireWire ports provide connection options.

The more affordable Rack model uses a 2.83 GHz Core 2 Quad processor and two 500 GB drives and provides 4 GB of RAM. It also includes nine USB ports and two FireWire ports. Housed in a rackmountable enclosure, this CPU is targeted for mobile recording setups.

The new Creation Station line also includes the 2.66 GHz Tower, a standalone unit that features a Core 2 Quad processor and, like the Rack, includes two 500 GB drives, nine USB ports and two FireWire connections. For USB-based home, project and professional studio applications, the Tower LE offers 2 GB of RAM and houses a 2.5 GHz Pentium Dual-core processor and one 500 GB hard drive.

Each of these Creation Station computers uses the Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit operating system and comes complete with a 110-key Media Station keyboard and a 3-button optical mouse. In addition, Creation Station owners get access to Sweetwater’s tech support team, as well as SweetCare Remote support, which allows for remote service. Sweetwater also backs these products with a 2-year Total Confidence Coverage warranty.

According to Sweetwater founder and president Chuck Surack, “These are the most powerful Creation Stations we’ve ever made, but they’re also the most affordable. We’re excited to offer the music community a line of computers that are built from the ground up for audio.”
