Sweetwater Donates 325000 To Local Non-Profits

Fort Wayne, IN (November 9, 2006)--Continuing a long-standing tradition of giving back to the community through charitable gifts and grants to non-profit organizations and educational institutions, Sweetwater has committed to three major, multi-year pledges totaling $250,000 for three local organizations: $100,000 each to the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo and the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Endowment Fund, and $50,000 to Arc of Northeast Indiana. In addition, more than $75,000 has been pledged or donated to 31 organizations.

Fort Wayne, IN (November 9, 2006)--Continuing a long-standing tradition of giving back to the community through charitable gifts and grants to non-profit organizations and educational institutions, Sweetwater has committed to three major, multi-year pledges totaling $250,000 for three local organizations: $100,000 each to the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo and the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Endowment Fund, and $50,000 to Arc of Northeast Indiana. In addition, more than $75,000 has been pledged or donated to 31 organizations.

"Sweetwater is incredibly fortunate to enjoy exciting and significant growth," noted Sweetwater founder and president Chuck Surack. "Sharing this good fortune by supporting those non-profit organizations devoted to improving the quality of life in this region, is very important to my wife Lisa and myself
The phenomenal growth of Sweetwater also benefits the community in the form of a new $30 million campus on US 30 West, and the creation of 35 new well-paying jobs so far this year."

Recent major donations include $23,500 for Unity Performing Arts Foundation and $12,250 to the Fort Wayne Philharmonic.

Gifts ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 were made to American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, Audiences Unlimited, Ball State University Foundation, Boy Scouts of America, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Fairfield Elementary Arts Program, Headwaters Park Alliance, Indiana University School of Music, Northern Indiana Public Radio, Parkview Medical Foundation, Rescue Ministries, Southwest Allen County Schools Music Boosters, Turnstone, and Youth for Christ.

Sweetwater also supported, with gifts between $100 and $1,000, the Bach Collegium, Better Business Bureau, Bishop Luers Minstrels, Butler University, Carroll High School
Band Boosters, Embassy Theatre Foundation, Fort Wayne Summer Symphony, Homestead High School Show Choir, IPFW Music Department, March of Dimes, MDA, Inc., Northrop Jazz Festival, Orphans Aid Foundation, Warren Central High School Band Boosters.

These cash donations are in addition to numerous other sponsorships and in-kind gifts of instruments and music technology to non-profit organizations throughout the region
