Sweetwater Hires 16 In August

Fort Wayne, IN (September 11, 2007)--Pro audio/MI retailer Sweetwater hired six full-time and 10 part-time employees in the month of August, including five new sales engineers.

Fort Wayne, IN (September 11, 2007)--Pro audio/MI retailer Sweetwater hired six full-time and 10 part-time employees in the month of August, including five new sales engineers.

“As we come nearer to completion of our new headquarters on US Highway 30, we continue to be very aggressive in hiring high-quality individuals from around the country to strengthen our sales force,” comments Sweetwater founder and president Chuck Surack.

Sales engineer Matt Masek hails from Cleveland, OH where he received an Associates Degree in Recording Arts and Technology from Cuyahoga Community College. He has interned at three studios in the Cleveland area and plays clarinet and bass guitar.

Sales engineer Brian Powell is from Brownsburg, IN. He attended Berklee College of Music in Boston and spent four years in the Navy as an Operations Specialist at sea. He recently received a BA in Computer Information Technology from IUPI in Indianapolis. He has a home recording studio and is a bass guitarist.

Sales engineer Nathaniel Tite comes from St. Louis, MI. He attended Webster University and received his certificate in Recording Technology from SAE Institute in Los Angeles. He is a recording engineer and plays piano and guitar.

Sales engineer Justin Quesenberry comes from Owings, MD. He is a graduate of the Recording Arts program at Full Sail in Orlando, Florida, a guitar player, and has worked for Radio Shack for the past two years.

Sales engineer Robby Resnick is from Atlanta, GA and recently received his BS in Recording Industry Production from Middle Tennessee State University. He is a drummer and has extensive phone experience with CSR-Telco.

Other new hires include parts coordinator Caren Costello, who previously worked at Vera Bradley and was customer service manager at L&L Fittings. Kurt Shively will serve in the Technical Support Department part-time while finishing his degree at IPFW in Electrical Engineering.

An additional receptionist has also been hired, along with eight new employees in Sweetwater's Shipping Department.
