Montebello, CA (July 6, 2006)–Tascam has announced two new promotions for a couple of veteran employees. Each of these promotions has been strategically made to ensure the company’s continued growth and success.
Margie Ulm Margie Ulm has been named Tascam’s marketing communications specialist. She has been a TEAC (Tascam’s parent company) employee for over 15 years, having held a few different positions; most recently as sr. trade show coordinator. Her vast knowledge of Tascam’s heritage–and the current product line–will allow her to direct various marketing tasks, including print/web advertising, literature, POP, and more. She will also continue managing Tascam’s trade show coordination. “Margie’s dedication to Tascam,” said division manager Rick McClendon, “is unparalleled. Her organization skills, as well as her warmth and personality, will serve Tascam well in our future marketing efforts.”
Johnny DeLeon has been promoted to computer products channel manager, and will be handling both GigaStudio software products and all of Tascam’s computer interface products. DeLeon previously held sales and product manager positions at IK Multimedia, M-Audio and other soft-synth manufacturers. “Johnny’s understanding of the computer audio market,” said McClendon, “coupled with his successful background and high energy uniquely qualify him to drive Tascam’s acclaimed computer hardware and software product lines.”
“These two key promotions,” added McClendon, “are crucial to our strategy to keep Tascam a force to be reckoned with in the pro audio/home recording industry.”
