Atlanta, GA (November 6, 2003)--Every year, the school system in Fulton County, GA honors its best educators with a large-scale "Teacher of the Year" luncheon. This year's edition, held October 24 at the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC) in Atlanta, featured Fulton County's superintendent and honored select individuals for "superior teaching achievement" from among 1,000 teachers.

Much as the luncheon gave back to the teaching community, the event's AV provider, Hi-Tech Rentals (Atlanta), took the opportunity to give back to its community, too. The company provided a sizable amount of visual and audio gear, essentially staging a $30,000 show for half that cost. Gear on-hand included JBL VerTec line arrays, Vari-Lite VL1000AS lights and Barco SLM R10s.

The luncheon came off as a big success, prompting one Fulton County Event Coordinator to remark, "Hi-Tech's kind contribution is well above the Gold Level, and has made it possible for us to have a greater event than ever perceived possible."
