The Creative Achievement nominees join the nominees in 17 categories of Technical Achievement announced earlier this month. The awards for Creative Achievement recognize the producers, engineers, sound designers and editors, studios, tour companies and others behind the sound of diverse entertainment media.

This year’s nominees garnering multiple nominations include tour sound company Clair (4), the producers and engineers for Black Eyed Peas (3), the Avett Brothers (2) and Green Day (2); as well as the production teams for three HBO television series (The Pacific, Treme and True Blood).

Sound production for video games is also represented by releases from companies such as Activision, DICE/EA, Eidos Interactive, Rockstar Games, SCEA and Warner Bros. Interactive. The Interactive Entertainment award is sponsored by the Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.).

For the first time, the TEC Awards will be held at the NAMM show, the largest international music products trade show, held annually at the Anaheim Convention Center. The TEC Awards is sponsored by Harman, GCPro/Sterling Audio, NAMM, Shure, Broadjam.com and Hal Leonard Corp., among other companies in the sound and music industries.
