Menlo Park, CA (June 13, 2006)--The Annex Studios (formally The Music
Annex) has installed a classic Neve VIII/60 series console into its newly redesigned Studio A. The console features 56 channels of Flying Fader automation and complete integration with a 48-track Pro Tools HD system.

Prior to the install, Studio A--one of five studios at The Annex--was stripped to the bare walls and completely rewired with all new cable throughout. The Annex, under new management since 2003, chose the Neve to support the resurgence in band-based music projects. Studio management has also reportedly established very competitive rates for the newly retrofitted room.

Coupled with the live "Rock Room," a new Pro Tools HD rig, all new wiring to the ergonomically located patch bays, and an extensive collection of vintage microphones and outboard gear, The Annex is prepared to make many more hit records as it enters its fourth decade of operations.

Owner Russell Bond remarked, "This Neve, and the live room in Studio A just go together like BB and Lucille. It's the perfect complement to the acoustical characteristics of the room, and the Neve brings a familiar sonic quality and workflow to the room that professional engineers and producers will appreciate."
