Nashville, TN (May 4, 2009)--The Atlanta Braves are singing a new tune, thanks to Nashville's 615 Music, who have written and produced a new version of "The Braves Play Here."
615 Music's Greg Barnhill and Randy Wachtler, president and CEO, wrote the new theme song for Peachtree TV and the Atlanta Braves. Recording artists Montgomery Gentry performed the song, with Blake Chancey and Wachtler serving as co-producers.
"This year's version of 'The Braves Play Here' is an extension of a song we created last year, incorporating the famous Braves chant echoed by Braves fans at Turner Field in Atlanta," Wachtler said.
"We love the new song and plan to make it a centerpiece of our marketing campaign for the Braves this year," said Bryan Slonaker, senior director of creative services for Peachtree TV, which produced the campaign.
Added Eddie Montgomery, "Creating a song for some of baseball's biggest fans was something new and different for us. Being able to sing on this track and shoot a video in Atlanta was a blast."
According to Troy Gentry, "The guys at 615 Music were so great to work with, and it was fun being involved in the entire process."
Peachtree TV is Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.'s local Atlanta broadcast platform and will bring local viewers 45 Atlanta Braves baseball games in 2009, as well as other special Atlanta-based events.
