The film’s soundtrack was mixed on the vintage Neve console in Studio A at The Village Recorder in West Los Angeles.
Composer John Powell produced the sessions with engineer Hugo Nicolson and second engineer Ghian Wright.
The Village has been involved with numerous hit films this year. Composer Aaron Zigman produced sessions for Sex and the City in Studios A and B–which was recently outfitted with the Village’s second Neve 88R console–with engineer Tommy Vicari and second engineer Chris Owens.
The 5.1 soundtrack for the remake of The Hulk was mixed in Studio B with Brad Haenel engineering, assisted by second engineer Vanessa Parr.
Tracking sessions for the Pixar Animation feature Wall-E were held in Studio D, which features a Neve 88R console, with renowned composer Thomas Newman producing and Tommy Vicari engineering. Chris Owens and Ryan Peterson were second engineers on the project.
Composer Javier Navarette also selected Studio D for the 5.1 mix of his soundtrack for Mirrors, which is due for release in August. Joel Iwataki engineered the sessions with second engineer Shinnosuke Miyazawa.
Andrea Morricone, composer of the soundtrack for Cinema Paradiso, booked some time in Studio A to track a saxophone quartet with engineer Ghian Wright.
Also in Studio A, actress and singer Emmy Rossum came by with producer Martin Kierzenbaum. Tony Ugual engineered along with second engineer Ghian Wright.
