South San Francisco, CA (May 3, 2006)--TOA Electronics has launched its DA Series digital multichannel amplifiers, the latest addition to its line of audio products for installed sound.

Engineered with TOA's new digital technology, the DA Series amplifiers operate at 85 percent efficiency and consume almost 1/3 less power than conventional analog amplifiers. The compact and lightweight (14.6 lbs.) single-rack-space design combined with low heat dissipation allow designers to rackmount up to five units without open space between units.

The first phase of the DA Series is comprised of two models--the high-impedance DA-250FH provides four 70-Volt output channels of 250 Watts or, in bridged mode, two 140 Volt channels of 500 Watts. The low-impedance model DA-250F provides four channels of 250 Watts at 4 ohms or two channels of 500 Watts at 8 ohms in bridged mode.
