Santa Monica, CA (May 21, 2009)--Next month, Imperativa Records will present Trailer Music Live, a live performance of music originally composed for theatrical trailers.
The first such event presented in the US, Trailer Music Live will be held Saturday, June 27 at The Broad Theatre in Santa Monica, CA. The performance is scheduled to include music composed and produced to promote such blockbuster motion picture franchises as Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, Spider-Man and many others.
This event will also incorporate video presentations of trailer footage from major motion pictures throughout the evening. Simultaneously, the event will marry these images with performances from more than 100 performers, including singers from The Angeles Chorale and recording artists Immediate. The rock group Globus will be performing several trailer-inspired tracks from its album Epicon during the event. Globus also performed a concert last summer at London's Wembley Grand Hall.
For over 15 years, Immediate has a producer of original music for major motion picture trailers. Immediate reportedly pioneered the broad distribution of "trailer music" with its recent debut commercial album, "Trailerhead."
Yoav Goren, Imperativa Records founder, as well as a composer and musician with both Immediate and Globus, says, "This event was received with such enthusiasm in London last year, that we felt compelled to bring it to the United States. Trailer Music Live is an epic concert event featuring a large orchestra, choir and rock band performing familiar movie music which has never before been heard in a live setting. This event will appeal to movie fans of all ages, as we bring our epic trailer music directly from the movie screen to the live stage."
Tickets are available at www.tix.com and The Broad Theatre box office (310-434-3200).
