Maidenhead, UK (August 2, 2010)–GlobeCast is using TSL Professional Product Group’s PAM2-3G16 audio monitor in its worldwide distribution of the UEFA Champions League soccer tournament in HD.
GlobeCast master control room manager Jonathan Morley said, “We tried out a variety of audio monitoring solutions and the PAM2-3G16 is by far the most sleek, intuitive and comprehensive model on the market. It allows quick and dynamic control in a multi-channel environment. The PAM2 has proven extremely fluid under pressure when switching frequently between different audio standards in a live broadcast situation.”
The multi-standard, multi-format PAM2-3G16 simplifies monitoring of multichannel audio using preset menus and shortcut keys for access to critical elements of complex broadcast audio systems. The PAM2-3G16 provides user selectable scales, ballistics, a range of standard input/output signals supported and the ability to dissect and monitor any multichannel audio signal structure from mixed mono, stereo and 5.1. The PAM2-3G16 also includes Dolby Digital Plus as well as anticipated ITU-R BS.1770 loudness measurement capabilities.
TSL sales manager David Cheng said, “To know that the PAM2-3G16 will ensure audio quality for a global Champions League audience of between one and two-billion is deeply satisfying and a credit to our designers, engineers, sales and support teams.”
