New York City (October 21, 2004)–Twist Audio, a new audio post facility located at the former premises of Laredo Audio Post, has launched in Soho. Mixing at Twist are Glenn Laredo, Peter Buccellato and Mark Schultz, all formerly with Laredo.
Sarah Rotondi, who handles bookings, and former ICM agent Erik Sanchez, who heads a new casting service, join the mixers. The studio features two first-class recording and mixing studios, equipped with the latest Digidesign ProTools workstations and full complements of support gear, and a third room for casting.
Twist will operate as a satellite of Manhattan post production studio Sound Lounge and will coordinate with the facility to provide clients with the best solutions to their audio requirements. “There has long been a need for a first class audio facility below Hutson and by combining the talents of our mixing crew with the expertise and reputation of Sound Lounge, Twist represents the ideal solution,” said Laredo.
Laredo was one of the founders of East Side, the premiere mixing facility that also launched the career of Sound Lounge president Tom Jucarone. He launched Laredo Audio Post in 2001 and his facility served a regular clientele that included Cliff Freeman, Uniworld Group, Saatchi & Saatchi Health Care and Euro RSCG.
“This move is a big win for both sides,” said Laredo. “It helps us to serve new markets and provides us with the benefits that come with being part of the Sound Lounge family. Tom and his partners have created a company that is synonymous with excellence in audio post work and one that is held in high regard throughout the industry.”
