Santa Cruz, CA (April 2, 2009)--Universal Audio has announced the UAD 4K Channel Strip and UAD 4K Buss Compressor plug-ins for the UAD platform.
The UAD 4K Channel Strip is a circuit emulation of the SSL 4000 G+, complete with the Type E “black knob” four-band EQ. The companion UAD 4K Buss Compressor models the 4000 G+ buss compressor. Each of the UAD 4K plug-ins includes a 14-day fully functional demo and is now available for purchase to UAD-1 and UAD-2 owners.
"Universal Audio's UAD 4K plug-ins finally give fans of the SSL large format consoles DAW tools that truly capture the myriad of circuit and sonic details that made the 4000 such a fantastic desk to work on,” commented UA Product Manager Will Shanks. “We were happy to meet customer’s requests for these amazing tools”.
In other Universal Audio news, the company has announced the release of UAD V 5.3 and the Cooper Time Cube Mk II. The Cooper Time Cube Mk II includes a 14-day fully functional demo and is now available for purchase to UAD-2 owners.
The original Cooper Time Cube was a Duane Cooper and Bill Putnam collaborative design that brought a garden hose-based mechanical delay to the world in 1971. The Cooper Time Cube MkII is a feature-enhanced evolution on the original delay system design. The plug-in, says the manufacturer, retains the mechanical delay sound of the original hardware but goes further by offering all the features expected from a modern delay device, such as Delay, Decay, Pan and Volume controls plus Tempo Sync and Automation for each of the two independent delay lines.
